Outdoor adventure is endless with our close proximity to Yosemite National Park. Half Dome, El Capitan, Hetch Hetchy and Tuolumne Meadows, the Stanislaus National Forest, the Tuolumne River, Clavey and Merced Rivers are all in our backyard with High-Sierra recreational activities such as white-water rafting, rock climbing, fly-fishing, hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, jet-skiing, snow shoeing, water skiing, cave touring, canoeing, kayaking, bird watching. Well, you get the picture.
Our own Yosemite Courtyard Cabaret provides live musical entertainment from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. A variety of top tribute artists perform with acts as diverse as Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, and The Andrews Sisters. Jazz and Cajun music are also part of our summer shows.
If you want more music options, the Strawberry Music Festival is another favorite. Our next door neighbor, the oldest, continuously operating saloon in California, the Iron Door Saloon that regularly hosts musical greats at incredible prices.
Many cultural opportunities are also available to us in the Gold Country. We are close to Columbia State Historic Park, Jamestown and other historic gold-rush towns. Nearby Sonora boasts year-round repertory theatre groups and plenty of antique shopping. Groveland is a short, scenic drive to many wineries ~ our area is emerging as a key wine-producing region. Ironstone Vineyards, Twisted Oak and Zucca Mountain Vineyards are only three of nearly a dozen family-owned and operated wineries in Murphys.
There is no need to claim boredom around these parts!

Joni Morris: A Tribute to Patsy Cline, May 25
Joni Morris, nationally acclaimed entertainer, songwriter and recording artist, pays tribute to the music of Patsy Cline, May 25 at 8:00 PM. Joni plays the incomparable singer with the big voice and big heart who scored extraordinary early 60s hits like I Fall To Pieces and Crazy the number one jukebox hit of all time. Patsy Cline was one of the true legends in American music. Showtime is 8 p.m./Tickets $19.00
The Beatles Experience, June 16
“The Beatles Experience” recreates the spirit of the “Fab Four” in ways that have audiences raving about them… “eight days a week.” Musically, no detail is overlooked to re-create the true sound and excitement of The Beatles, with every song performed totally live and in its original key.
Life in the Fast Lane: Eagles Tribute, July 27
The setting for the show is at the famous Hotel California, where of course is the place that “you can never leave,” and of course you will never want to leave while you are listening to the music of The Eagles: Henley, Frey, Schmit, and Walsh! Inside The Hotel California is The Tequila Sunrise Ballroom, where a six-piece band performs their Greatest Hits, from “Take It Easy” to “Get Over It”.
The Perfect Gentlemen, August 10
Preserving America’s great vocal sounds from a time when music was music, The Perfect Gentlemen recreate the close harmonies of such legendary groups as The Ink Spots and the Pied Pipers, while including the era’s great comic songs made famous by the likes of Louis Jordan and The Hoosier Hotshots. Tom Drinnon: Tim McGraw Tribute, Sept. 7
At the young age of twenty-three, Tom moved to Nashville, TN where he met his manager only two weeks after arriving. From there he went out on the road performing across the nation. Best known for his authentic country sound and versatile range, Tom Drinnon is sure to impress any crowd.
Wine Discovery for Two Persons
Wine Discovery is a selection of four wines by the sommelier, including two white wines and two red wines. Each wine is presented in a two-ounce carafe, on a wooden paddle, designed to hold the four samplers. A Wine Discovery session generally is completed in an hour – sometimes more, depending on the lively conversation.
